The clients of this project returned to the Netherlands after decades of living abroad. All the more reason for us to create the ultimate sense of home in their new home. The modern villa radiates peace and warmth both inside and outside thanks to the natural materials and the special roofline, which creates sloping, low ceilings inside. The design - at the special request of the residents - is anything but ordinary.
The eye-catcher of this villa: the imposing and strikingly sloping roofline. It blends into the facade and follows the plot line. As a result, the house and its surroundings flow naturally into one another. Inside, the sloping roof creates security and a surprising design.
A work of art in itself: the daylight at the top of the stairs. It creates a playful pattern on the wall. This is due to the use of Brazilian masonry, which consists of openings that brilliantly let in the light. On the outside, this masonry also has a beautiful effect and acts as an art object

Even the dining table is in line with the house and the lot. It is designed so that its longest side is flush with the roofline and the lot. And because of the type of wood used, the table blends in with the beautiful bright kitchen. The kitchen island is the central meeting place and therefore should be seen! As is the see-through fireplace, which also serves as a divider with a contrasting blue-steel cabinet wall at the back.
Wood predominates in the interior. For a secure appearance, but also to give the residents a familiar feeling - they lived for forty years in a house with many wooden materials. Wherever the sloping roofline is visible, light oak planks have been used for the ceiling. The same type of wood can be seen as parquet flooring and on the stairs. The result? Unity, tranquility and warmth.
